Become a Member

If you have not already created a user account on BSRA.org.uk you first need to register a user account (see also Register a User Account for help with this) and you need to be logged-in in order to be able to subscribe to a BSRA membership on the Become a Member or directly from your My account page. On this page you will find different membership types but you only need to subscribe to one of them, i.e. the one that applies to your or the one you are interested in.

After you have followed the subscription link you are directed to the Terms and Conditions page, which also provides more information on the membership like the membership fee. You need to read those and accept them before being shown the actual subscription link:

This link directs you to a PayPal site, so do not be suspicious when the website does not look like BSRA.org.uk any more.

The nature of the subscription requests that you either already have a PayPal account or create a PayPal account during the subscription. In the former case you need to log-in into your PayPal account now while in the latter case you need to provide your credit card details, your billing address and contact information and before you can complete the form by clicking on Continue in the bottom right of the page you also need to complete the Security Check question by entering the code that is shown in the image.

You can also cancel the subscription process and go back to BSRA.org.uk by following the link Cancel and Return to Merchant at the bottom left.

After clicking on Continue you are presented with a form to confirm your country and email address and provide a PayPal password.

After completing this form you will be prompted with the subscription details, the terms and the amount to pay. To complete the transaction you have to click on Pay. After this, you are directed to a confirmation page from which you can now proceed to BSRA.org.uk by clicking on the Return to Merchant button.

If you are prompted with a security message that informs you about a transmission of information from a secured site (https) to an unsecured (http) you can need to allow this in order for BSRA.org.uk to know that you have paid for the subscription. The information that is being send does not include your credit card details nor your billing address.
