Accessibility
We have recently redesigned the website with the aim to improve accessibility. This page contains some useful information regarding the accessibility of the BSRA website.
BSRA Website and Browser compatibility
The website has been tested in many different browsers and settings. However, modern webdesign standards were used for our layout and to improve accessibility but, unfortunately, some older browsers like Internet Explorer 5.5 and Netscape 6 and older have problems with rendering the page layout correctly. If you are using any of these, we highly recommend to upgrade these browsers, not only because of compatibility issues but also because of serious security issues with these browsers.
Feel free to contact us about any problems you experience during your visit of our website.
Access keys
Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the web site. On Windows, you generally can press ALT + an access key, in Internet Explorer you need to press Enter afterwards; on a Macintosh, you generally can press Control + an access key.
All pages on this site define the following access keys:
- s - Skip navigation
- 1 - Home page
- 2 - Recent News
- 3 - Site map
- 4 - Search
- 8 - Imprint & Disclaimer
- 9 - Contact Information
- 0 - Access key details
Accessibility Statement
This is the official accessibility statement for the BSRA - British Society for Research on Ageing. We aim to provide an overall accessible website and are currently working intensely on ensuring that this website complies with the accessibility standards established by the World Wide Web Consortium`s (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).
Due to the nature of the BSRA website, we provide third party content and documents, such as pdf documents of presentations and articles, where we do not have any influence of the accessibility of those. If you have problems accessing any of those, please contact us.
